Alia Bhatt’s Darlings was released on Netflix to mixed responses from audiences. As fans go gaga over Alia Bhatt’s other powerful performance and hail the acting talents of Shefali Shah and Vijay Verma, they have a major issue with the film showing domestic violence against men as a ‘joke’ . The film is described as dark and edgy, but viewers did not like that the film was treated as a dark comedy as it shows violence against men. And wonder if it would be the same when this violence was manifested against women.
Darlings is getting all the love as every actor did a phenomenal job, but the script was not well received by a certain part of the audience and they were asking themselves the same question.
movies like #DarlingsOnNetflix promote domestic violence against men.
Mahatama Gandhi said “An eye for an eye only blinds the whole world”.

All those people who justify #DarlingsOnNetflix I’m sure they won’t justify a movie that features a man raping a woman just for revenge, and that too presented as humor in the name of black comedy. #BoycottAliaBhatt #BoycottDarlings

According to Netflix and Red Chiles, beating men is cool and not domestic violence.
What type of society are we heading towards?
A hypocritical society where only one sex will decide what the ground rules are that only favor them.#BanDarlings #DarlingsOnNetflix https://t.co/ZE9xWBFFQF— Sachin Borkar (@borkarsachin97) August 1, 2022

Alia Bhatt who is expecting her first child is enjoying all the positive feedback for her film and we wonder if the actress will talk about domestic violence against men in the film and why she was treated this way? Alia Bhatt is also awaiting the release of Brahmastra with her husband Ranbir Kapoor.
