Asha Parek began her journey in movies when she was just 8 years old. He was the filmmaker Bimal Roy who scouted her, earning her two film wins as a child artist. Manoj Kumar is one co-star with whom she shared a heated argument, but who turned things around for her. Both starred in Do Badan. It was a film that made people see beyond the glam girl. Sharing an anecdote from the sets, Asha ji shared, “I talked to director Raj Khosla that the two characters cannot die at the end.” I was sick in the movie and could die, but just walking in and dropping dead was unconvincing to Manoj. He agreed to change the ending, but Manoj was furious with me. ‘
