In the recent development of the death case of ex-Sushant Singh Rajput manager, Disha Salian, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) concluded in its investigation that Disha’s death was accidental.
The conclusion came after several foul play allegations were raised in connection with the death of actor Kai Po Che, who died less than a week after Disha’s death. The 28-year-old Mumbai-based talent manager reportedly fell from the 14th floor of the Galaxy Regent building on the fateful night of June 8-9, 2020.
Although there was no separate FIR or complaint filed about Disha’s death, the CBI decided to investigate the case to find out if there was a connection to it. the death of Sushant, who had opened a Pandora’s box in the dark side of Bollywood. BJP leader Nitish Rane had alleged that the deaths of Sushant and Disha were linked and that there had been foul play.
According to an article in the Economic Times, the CBI discovered that Disha had fallen from the balcony after losing her balance under the influence of alcohol. A CBI officer is quoted as saying in the report: “Investigation revealed that Salian had held meetings at his residence in the run up to his birthday. The June 8 evening party was one of them. However, that night, Salian, who had been drinking, lost his balance and slipped off the parapet of his apartment. The officer also added that there was no evidence that Disha’s death triggered Sushant’s suicide .
Another CBI officer also reportedly said the investigation found no substance in the BJP leader’s allegations that Disha was assaulted and approached Sushant for help. The officer said it was important to review the details of the case since the nature of the allegations was serious.
Meanwhile, the CBI continues to investigate Sushant’s death, which was ruled a suicide in the initial investigation by the Mumbai Police. A closure of the investigation into Sushant’s death has yet to be filed by the agency.
