I got sick and was taking severe painkillers

After delivering a hit with Good Luck Jerry, Janhvi Kapoor will show off her acting skills in the upcoming film Mili. However, the actress said shooting the film took a toll on her mental health. He said she had fallen ill and was taking severe painkillers.

Janhvi was quoted as saying by a news agency that she had nightmares of being locked in a cold, dark place. She added that she would go home after shooting and fall asleep and dream of being locked in a freezer. She said she took severe painkillers for almost two to three days and their manager also fell ill.

She also said she struggled with spending 15 hours in a freezer and crying the whole time. She said she gained 7kg for her role and shot for her freezing scenes in minus 15 degrees.

Janhvi also revealed how she chooses her scripts. What works for the 25-year-old is that she enjoys learning and doing more physically. She said she learned to drive a helicopter, play cricket, Bihari dialect and travel to real places.

Mili is a remake of director Mathukutty Xavier’s 2019 Malayalam film, Helen, which tells the story of a woman stuck in a freezer fighting for her life. Janhvi shot for the film for 20 days straight from a freezer. The film was directed by the same director of the original film and it is produced by Boney Kapoor.
