Actor Bharti Singh & her writer husband Haarsh Limbachia landed in legal trouble again.
According to reports, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed a complaint against the couple in a 2-year-old drug case.
According to ANI, the Mumbai NCB has submitted a 200 page roadmap against the couple in the Esplanade Criminal Court in connection with the 2020 drug case.
Bharti & Haarsh were arrested by the NCB in November 2020 after ganja (cannabis) was seized from their home in the suburb of Andheri. They are currently out on bail.
NCB had said that 86.5 grams of cannabis was recovered from their home during a raid. Haarsh and Bharti had admitted to using ganja.
Both were registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involves a small amount of drugs), and 8(c) (possession of drugs) and 27 (use of drugs) of the NDPS Act.
As reported by India Today, the charge sheet, filed by the NCB, falls under various sections of the NDPS Act – items 27 related to consumption, 28 punish attempted violations and 29 sanction for complicity and criminal association, and 8C related to the manufacture of goods, possess, sell, purchase, transport, store, use, consume, import interstate, export interstate, import into India, export from India or transship any narcotic or psychotropic substance except medical or scientific doses.
Earlier this year, the couple were blessed with a baby boy – Laksh Singh Limbachiya.
