Richa Chadha faces backlash for 'Galwan' tweet;  apologize later

Richa Chadha recently made headlines for his controversial tweet today.

She tweeted ‘Galwan says hello to you’ in response to Northern Army Commander Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi’s comment that the Indian Army was ready to retake Pakistani-occupied Kashmir.

Netizens were outraged as they believed she was mocking the Indian army and the sacrifice of the 20 soldiers who were killed in the 2020 Galwan skirmish between India and China.

Richa Chadha apologizes for Galwan’s tweet –

Later that day, the actress took to her social media to apologize to hurt people’s feelings. Check out his tweet –

“Even though it may never be my intention at the very least, if the 3 words that are drawn into a polemic have offended or hurt anyone, I apologize and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj ( army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious role.

My Mamaji was a parachutist. It’s in my blood. A whole family is affected when a son is martyred or even injured saving the nation which is made up of people like us and I know firsthand what that feels like. It’s an emotional question for mesaid Richa’s tweet.
